Timeline

When you decide you want fireworks for your event, contact Skyfire FX as soon as possible. Although we can put together events on short notice, contacting us at least a month in advance will ensure that we can get all the necessary permits and materials. We love planning in advance to provide you with the perfect experience and on popular dates we are often times fully booked.

Budget

Our show producers will work with you to develop a budget for your show. The budget is determined by the complexity, location, and run-time of the show. Once we know what you’re looking for, we’ll do everything we can to ensure an incredible performance within your budget.

Permits and Licensing

Obtaining a permit involves submitting an application to the local fire department detailing the specifics of the proposed fireworks event. This includes information about the date, time, location, product to be used, and safety measures planned for the display. Proof of display insurance and operator licensing are also required.

Permits are necessary to ensure compliance with local regulations, safeguard public safety, and mitigate potential risks associated with fireworks usage. Additionally, permits often entail inspection requirements to verify that safety protocols are in place before the event proceeds.

Site Survey

Due to the nature of fireworks, we need a qualified, safe location to shoot the show. For a typical aerial show, the ideal location is a wide-open field, away from buildings and people. If you have something else in mind, we’ll try to accommodate your wishes, utilizing our decades of experience shooting from buildings, stages, stadiums, and just about everywhere else physically possible. Your show producer will help you identify the perfect location for your event and will take care of all the necessary pre-qualifications of the site.

Music Selection

Some of our clients prefer to have their shows choreographed to music. We'll collaborate with you to ensure that the music selection matches your taste and the overall theme of the show. We can accommodate most song requests, so if you have a specific selection in mind, just let us know.
